The Fierce Urgency of Now:

The 22nd Annual Martin Luther King Breakfast

Monday, January 21, 2013 at 7:00 a.m.

Join us as we celebrate with hundreds of communities across the country in a neighborhood breakfast honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Six breakfasts will take place in Minnesota this year, simulcasting the live program from Minneapolis - and for the third year, one will be held at WBUUC.

This year's keynote speaker is Marian Wright Edelman, founder and president of the Children's Defense Fund. Edelman has advocated for disadvantaged Americans her entire professional life and is in a unique position to inspire the audience to action with this year's theme: Education - The Fierce Urgency of Now.

We are also thrilled to announce that our local speaker will be Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Alan Page!

This interfaith event is open to the public. Children and adults are welcome--we hope you'll bring friends, neighbors and colleagues and join us for a morning of prayer and song, reflection and re-commitment to building the beloved community!

Tickets will be sold at church on Sundays. They cost $5 for adults and teenagers; children under twelve are free.

Or call the office (651-426-2369) Mon.- Thurs. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to reserve tickets and pay when you pick them up.
