We begin the new year with a reflection on the spiritual practice of inquiry: the demanding discipline -- and beautiful invitation --of our liberal tradition.

The Water Communion

For this longstanding tradition, please bring some water from your summer travels - froma faraway ocean, a favorite lake, your kitchen faucet or garden hose. We'll mingle these sacred waters with wonder and gratitude, and also with mindfulness: a special offering will be taken for the people of Pakistan, struggling for life amidst devastating floods.
